About The Artist
Frank Monteavaro is a Cuban artist based in Miami Beach. Exiled from Cuba in 1973, Frank and his family settled in Miami Beach, where his artitistic journey began. His work is deeply rooted in the exploration of color, texture, and movement, drawing inspiration from masters such by Miguel VonDangel & Jesus Soto’s , particularly the Cinetismo (Kinetic art) movement. His earliest work was on wood, planters, furniture, and small canvasses. In 1996 Frank had his first exhibit in Miami and had his First Solo Exhibit in 2007. Today Frank's paintings are part of in private collections, both internationally and in the US. He draws upon his life experiences and cultural roots, to shape each piece resulting in work that is both visceral and visually dynamic. His recent conveys the intensity and passion projects transcend and transmit the fire he holds within achieving beautiful & unique fine art. About The Self Series
In 1993 I dipped my brush into the paint and breathed life into a clay pot—a humble beginning that sparked my artistic journey. Along the path, new canvases emerged, each bearing the imprint of my soul: "Maquinaria Mental," "Guerrero Espiritual," "Me siguen dando Cuerda," and "As Frank sees it." These works are not merely paintings; they are vessels of my evolving emotions and expressions, portraying the weight of my growth as an artist and as a person on the canvas.
While creating this series, I stumbled upon a profound realization—the essence of my Self Series—a collection reflecting my various selves and the challenging path to self-confidence that evolved into the King Series. These paintings mirror my battles and victories, symbolizing my journey towards healing, sprinkled with a touch of self-mockery—a reminder of the doubts I've conquered.
Throughout my adventure as an artist, I found comfort in the unwavering support of those who saw beyond my paintings—they saw me. They uplifted not just my art but also my spirit. Yet, amid this encouragement, I couldn't ignore the skeptics. In the face of doubt, I stand firm—as a testament of resilience and creativity, reclaiming my legacy stroke by stroke, brush by brush, because in essence, I am the son of a king.
About The Mujeronas
About The MUJERONAS Series
In 1990, one of my first three paintings was a portrait of a woman's face. Later on, I noticed that some artists from the past had done series of paintings of women, but most of the time
portraying their lovers, spouses, famous actresses, or musicians. Being an admirer of the beauty of women, I started to paint a woman with whom I was madly in love. She was in my eyes, a real MUJERONA. The term (Mujerona), comes from Cuba and Latin America, referring to any woman who is beautiful, elegant, classic, and intelligent. That's how this never-ending Series started. All women challenge my techniques and my desire to grow artistically, making me the vessel to portray the flourishing and infinite beauty of women.

About The In Motion Series
Around 2012, I wanted to expand my creativity and my painting. You could say I started to brainstorm and experiment with circles lines, different colors, and hues. I wanted to incorporate movement and three dimensions into my paintings as well. Truly, I believe that the Work of Master Jesus Soto was influential. I saw his work, Cinetismo (Kinetic movement), displayed at The Caracas Contemporary Museum when I visited and lived in Caracas Venezuela for 7 months in 2002. This Series has grown and flourished because I continue to discover different ways to bring a new level of color and movement into the 3-dimensional format of my paintings.

About The Musician Series
This Series started around 1993. I am a Jazz lover, and I was inspired by the musical instruments and the musicians in action. I created two small paintings and a few years later, I painted two more which I exhibited in a Group Show. It was well-liked, that in 2016 I was commissioned for a painting at The Beautification Project by The City of Miami in Little Havana / Calle 8 Miami. The idea was born to incorporate these paintings and make it a Series: Los Musicos which in English means: The Musicians.
